Softies – Mildred Giraffe

Our Softies – Mildred Giraffe is made with the softest wool blend fabric. She sometimes forgets she is a giraffe and plays the role of a fairy (complete with wings). Each Softie comes with an attached card outlining his/her favourite things (and others, not so much).

and the little dog laughed was launched in 2008 by Australian designer, Kylie Platt. Kylie has a passion for fabrics and design, and particularly loves to combine textures and mediums; knits and fabrics, and stretch and floral cotton, adding different layers to a piece that would otherwise be one-dimensional. Kylie draws a lot of inspiration from her childhood and particularly likes to create timeless pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The inspiration for the labels’ name comes from one of her favourite nursery rhymes, Hey Diddle Diddle. Each piece is designed to not only evoke a sense of nostalgia but is designed to be loved and cherished through to the next generation
